This is part of the website is where we tell stories of the lives of
some of the unheralded men and occasional ladies who have live through
the horrors of war and returned with medals and memories to work
tirelessly to make this world a proper and stable society. For us to not
only live in, but to take their example and give part of our lives to
help others, be they unfortunates, meek, aged, humble or even rouges who
can be shown a better path to travel. Most of these stories are taken
from The Times, Telegraph and Guardian newspapers. We give thanks for

- David Fairbrother - On 19 September 2011 David Fairbrother tragically died in Afghanistan while serving his country as a Royal Marine of Kilo Company 42 Commando.
- Warrant Officer Darren Chant - Darren Chant was the Regimental Sergeant Major of 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards. On the day before he was killed it was announced that he had been awarded a commission in the regiment.
- Colonel David Smiley - Special Forces and Intelligence officer renowned for cloak and dagger operations behind enemy lines on many fronts.
- Jim Bradley MBE - The last survivor of a party of nine British servicemen and an Indian civilian who made an audacious attempt to escape from Thailand – Burma Railway in 1943.
- Ted Kenna VC - Ted Kenna won the Victoria Cross on May 15th 1945. Australian soldier who took on the Japanese with a Bren gun at his hip.
- Jimmy Johnson - After leaving the army in 1973 Jimmy Johnson was jailed for murder. He had never heard of post traumatic stress disorder – and there are thousands more like him. Is enough done to help soldiers adjust to normal life?
